MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the Albion Area Fair Inc. is to promote the growth and improvement  of agriculture farming, educate and provide related career information for teacher  training and agriculture, and to allow exhibitors to compete for prize money, ribbons,  or merely to enjoy the competition.
Proceeds to benefit: Dairy Youth and Dairy Department. Rules: 1. Must be age 8 to 18 years old to participate and must have been a dairy exhibitor  at Albion Area Fair for at least 2 years. 2. Must do one (1) of the following: A. Have a cow in milk (no dry cows) entered in the fair. If choosing this option, participant will be auctioning off four (4) gallons of ice cream to the highest bidder. Making a basket is optional. B. If no cow in milk is entered, you MUST have a heifer or calf to enter AND MUST make a basket to auction off with ice cream. If choosing this option, participant will be auctioning off two (2) gallons of ice cream. 3. If animal is entered, whether it be cow in milk, calf or heifer, can NOT come to fair, participant will NOT be allowed to be in auction. NO substitutions allowed. 4. $20.00 plus the cost of the ice cream, will be deducted from each check to cover sale expenses. 5. Appropriate attire will be required of all participants, including basket carriers (NO shorts or open toed shoes). Basket carriers must be at least 4 years old. 6. Participants will assist with set-up and clean-up for the sale. Those who do not help with either set-up or clean-up will be assessed a $25 fee to be withheld from their auction check. 7. Checks will be mailed to participant AFTER the fair. It will not be included in premium check. 8. It is encouraged that the participant sends out buyer letters. 9. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THESE RULES! Thursday, September 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Dairy Milking Parlor
